Tanager volleyball team has good day at Beresford
On Tuesday, Oct. 17 the Tanager Varsity team reversed fortunes in the match against Beresford played in the BHS gym. "Two wins in a row! This was not our best night, but perseverance prevailed." Said coach Billberg. "We played tough defense and competed with the Watchdogs whenever our passing game was clicking." Tanager three-game scores: 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Individual Tanager stats: Kayla Gale – 9 kills; Kinsey Weydert contributed 33 set assists; Ariel Hofman had 9 digs; Alicia Brown – 11 kills, 3 blocks, 4 aces; Krista Froke – 11 K; Stacey Joy – 9 digs; and Kristina Blythe – 14 digs, 2 aces.

In the preliminary matches the Freshmen won 25-21, 25-13 as Sierra Allen had 3 ace serves and 7 kills; Molly Lecates had 3 set assists and 3 aces; and Michelle Blythe registered 1 dig, 2 set assists, and 1 ace; also Ashley Ouellette – 4 digs.


The JV lost in three games 13-25, 25-13,11-15.

Sara Kjose – 16 kills; Alexa Walker and Stacey Bottplfson – 4 kills, each; Hannah Korkuska – 9 digs; Angie Christensen and Rachel Odens – 2 blocks each.

The varsity team season record is 7-11 through the Beresford match.
