The team Ryder Cup tournament had its second round competition between members, chosen by Captains Rusty Jensen and Eric Stevens, to play a Chapman (alternate shot) format. Results of the nine-hole match play pairings were:

Harlan Schott/Ron Johnson def. Brian Steele/Floyd Boschee.
Doug Robinson/Dave Raabe def. Harland Durkin/Rod Tieman.

Seniors enjoy afternoon golf
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, 26 golfers registered to play. A special guest of the day was Howard Conners, who returned for a visit with his golfing friends. The winning team was Mo Marcotte, Don Baer and Jim Grabowski with 34; second at 37 was Dave Raabe, Rich Morse and Maurice Erickson.
Taking third at 38 was Ross King, Dave Zimmer and Jack Doyle. Fourth place went to Vern Holter, Elmer Mount and Jim Reed. A twosome consisting of Van Pierce and Quentin Oleson became the fifth-place team with a 41.
Only five birdies were shot in this session's play. Dick Kellogg had one on #5 with a 36-footer. Louie Fostvedt made a nice 16-foot putt on #6.
Next week, we will again be playing in the afternoon. Our tee time will be at 1 p.m.
