On Parents' Day, Blackler, a sophomore midfielder from Rapid City, scored the game-winning goal at the 80:01 mark off an assist from Angela O'Loughlin, a USD sophomore forward from Broomfield, CO.
Throughout the day, action for the teams revolved around the team that held the wind advantage. Augustana took a 1-0 lead in the first half as the Vikings utilized the advantages of the wind. Augustana's Amy Lueking scored an unassisted goal at the 18:46 mark.
The Vikings took a 1-0 lead into halftime, despite being outshot by USD, 8-5, in the first half.
At 58:31 of the second half, it was USD's turn to take advantage of the wind when Ally Fischer, a redshirt freshman from Lansing, KS, scored an unassisted goal to tie the match. USD controlled the action in the second half and broke through late in the match on Blackler's play.
Overall, USD outshot Augustana, 21-8, including 8-5 in the first half and 13-3 in the second half. Augustana had 11 fouls (4,7) while USD had eight fouls (7,6). The Vikings had four corner kicks to two for USD.
