Often times in our lives, we are asked to make adaptations, to change the way we do things or the way that we look at things.
Such was a decision for 11-year-old Dylan Fischbach, an above the knee amputee from Vermillion. Dylan's new endeavor was to play basketball from a wheelchair, replacing one leg with two wheels.
For the past three seasons, he has played wheelchair basketball for the Nebraska Red Dawgs, a team that practices at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and has players from Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
Dylan led his team this past weekend in scoring (118 points) and assists (32). He also had 43 rebounds and 12 steals in the six games played. For his performance he was named MVP.
