The competition for students, grades 1-12, proposes to enable students to achieve a better appreciation of their historic resources. With the theme of "A Sense of Place," students are asked to photograph any physical location in South Dakota which evokes senses of place and history.
Judging will be done in four categories: grades 1-5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12 and one grand-prize winner chosen from all three categories. Winners will be notified by March 1, 2007.
