Tanager JV volleyball recap

The following recap of the JV season was given by Coach Jerred: "We had some positives and some negatives. We lost eight matches in the third game by margins of three or four points. They played well in many matches, but couldn't find a way to win. Consistency was a problem throughout the season as we had too many unforced errors.

"On the other hand, we also saw many great things happen this year – Hannah Korcuska did a stellar job at the liberto position, Sara Kjose did a great job setting all season, and Alexa Walker was a steady player on the left side for the Tanagers. Rachel Odens and Justine Sorensen improved their play at the middle position. Brianna Brinkman and Dana Hannahs showed great improvement in the back row for the Tanagers.

"Other JV players who saw a lot of action this year were juniors Sara Bye and Stacey Bottolfson, playing the back row, and Rachel Lorenz helping out in the right front spot. Freshman Sierra Allen and Jenny Bye stepped up and played well in several JV matches.

The rest of the JV roster included sophomores Angie Christensen, Becca Hawley, Kelsey Osborne, Jacey Wipf, Rozzie LaMie and Erica Johnson. Freshman Ashley Ouellette rounds out the JV roster.

"I had a great time coaching these girls and hope to encounter them in the gym this summer, preparing for a successful season next year."
