Join us for the Vermillion Literary Project Poetry Slam, with featured writer Lindy Obach, followed by the Slam. Slam poets should bring at least three poems – prizes awarded – to the Coffee Shop Gallery, 24 W. Main Street, downtown Vermillion, 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30.
Lindy (Melinda) Obach, a poet, currently teaches creative writing and composition courses, as well as serving as a writing consultant in the Writing Center at The University of South Dakota. She earned her M.A. in English from the USD in 2005 and her B.A. in English from Minot State University in North Dakota in 2003. She has published poetry in the VLP magazine and performed her work at the John R. Milton Writers' Conference.
