A partnership between The University of South Dakota athletic department and South Dakota Public Broadcasting will allow Coyote women's and men's basketball home games to be shown live on a video webcast over the Internet.

Fans may watch the games for free by going to and clicking on an icon that will appear on the site. An alternative way to view the game would be through SDPB's sports site at, with Windows Media Player required to watch.

"We are very pleased to announce these plans to have our basketball home games broadcast via the Internet," said USD Athletic Development Officer Dan Hanna.

"This is the first step in what we hope will be a mutually beneficial partnership with Coyote athletics and South Dakota Public Broadcasting."

The first webcast will be on Saturday, Dec. 16, starting with the USD men hosting South Dakota School of Mines at 4 p.m. The Coyote women will follow with a non-conference contest against Wayne State (NE) starting at approximately 6 p.m.
