United Way meets 2006 goal

United Way of Vermillion has reached its 2006 fund-raising goal according to Mary Merrigan, president of the UW board of directors. "Our goal for 2006 was to raise $85,000 and thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Vermillion community, we have met and exceeded that goal," said Merrigan. "A recent donation of $3,000 from First Dakota National Bank pushed us over the goal," Merrigan continued. "It is so gratifying to have First Dakota provide the capstone to our fund-raising efforts," she stated. Making donations are, left to right, Dan Kenton, UW board member from Pamida; Farron Pratt, First Dakota National Bank; Mary Merrigan, Sioux Valley Vermillion and UW board president; and Bob Fuller, UW executive director.
