Vermillion Public Library hosts Scholastic Book Fair

A Scholastic Book Fair comes to the Vermillion Public Library Dec. 7 through 10, with a great selection of books and educational materials for readers of all ages from more than 150 publishers.

The sale features traditional children's favorites, books for all ages of children and adults, and new works by popular authors and illustrators. Scholastic publishes the popular Harry Potter, Clifford the Big Red Dog, I SPY, The Magic School Bus, and Maya & Miguel series.

The sale is open to the public during regular library hours on Thursday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 10, 1 to 5 p.m.

The Scholastic Book Sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library to earn books for the library and support programs like the Summer Reading Program, the ESA Giving Tree and equipment purchases.

The Scholastic Book Fair is held each holiday season to provide books and other quality items for holiday gift giving. Proceeds from the sale provide books for the Vermillion Public Library's collection and for the ESA Giving Tree at the library.
