Following its mid-winter tour of five states, Dr. James Johnson and the Augustana Choir present the annual Home Concert on Sunday, Feb. 11, beginning at 3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in downtown Sioux Falls.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available through the Augustana Box Office (605-274-44613) or at the door.

This year's mid-winter tour takes the 72-voice ensemble to Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Colorado and South Dakota. Concerts will be performed at First Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE; Advent Lutheran Church in Olathe, KS; St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria , KS; Zion Lutheran Church in Salt Lake City, UT; St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins, CO; and Custer High School in Custer.

Amanda Aga, Vermillion, is a member of the choir.

Founded in 1921, the Augustana Choir holds securely to its original founding purpose of service to God, church and community by delivering its "sermon in song" to the nation and the world. In this capacity, the choir is a valuable Augustana resource.

Dr. Johnson grew up in Luverne, MN, and has been directing the Augustana Choir since 1992. He came to Augustana from the Boston University School for the Arts, where he was head of choral conducting and choral music education. He also taught at Northern State University in Aberdeen.
