Butterfly house offers free programs

The Sertoma Butterfly House is offering free admission to educational school programs this spring for all kindergarten, first, second and third grade school classes within 70 miles of Sioux Falls. A private endowment, given by Joe and Elaine Floyd, made offering the programs at no cost to the students possible.

The Sertoma Butterfly House, together with Joe and Elaine Floyd, want to provide unique educational experiences for local youth. Every class which visits will be able to participate in a hands-on, educational program, designed with SD state curriculum standards in mind. Sioux Falls area teachers and student parents are encouraged to contact the Butterfly House to take advantage of the free school program and visit.

Class reservations are already being taken for 2007. Those wishing for more information should contact the Education Coordinator, Monique Stelzer at 605-334-9466 or email education@sfsertomabutterflyhouse.org.
