The National Music Museum continues its free Brown Bag Lunch concert series on Friday, Jan. 19 at noon with "Schubertiad" featuring soprano Darla Earnest, pianist Susanne Skyrm and clarinetist Deborah Check Reeves.

Three art receptions are happening Friday night, Jan. 19: the Heritage Gallery at the USD Wagner Alumni Center is featuring "Summer Colors to Brighten Winter's Gloom," fiber art by Merle Eintracht through the beginning of May, with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; the Main Gallery at the USD Fine Arts Center will be exhibiting "Embedded Truths: Fragmented Messages," recent prints by Jontimothy Pizzuto, with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.; and the VAAC continues its USD Student Art Series with prints by Josh Watts from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Washington St. Arts Center.

The VAAC is hosting a soup supper Saturday, Jan. 20, featuring several different soups, breads and desserts by local "chefs," and artwork by Bruce


Preheim and performances by a whole lineup of local musicians – The fun begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $10 for members, $15 for non-members and a maximum family cost.

The trio Roma Di Luna, featuring former Vermillionite Channey Moon Caselle on violin, will be performing at the National Music Museum on Friday, Jan. 26 at noon and at the Washington Street Arts Center Saturday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m.
