With the recent snowfalls, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) reminds people that it is illegal to shovel, blow or dump snow in the state highway right-of-way.
"Piling snow in the state highway right-of-way can be dangerous," says SDDOT construction and maintenance engineer, Greg Fuller. Fuller says it also creates problems for SDDOT crews trying to clear snow from the highways. It is the policy of the SDDOT to remove snow within the highway right-of-way
