To the editor:
Thank you, Vermillion, for the support you provided to the Salvation Army bell ringing campaign. We raised around $3,300 this year; that is a significant increase over the $1200 raised last year. This money will go a long way in helping meet the emergency needs of families and individuals in our community.

Big thanks to the churches and community groups that helped bell ring – St. Paul's, Trinity, Cornerstone, Faith Fellowship, Grace Baptist, Christian Student Fellowship, Awana's, Luther Center, 4-H, 4-H Jolleys, National Honor Society, USD Serve and Wal-Mart.
Also to the fraternities and sororities of USD SAE, Alpha Phi, Beta-Theta Phi, Kappa Theta, Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Xi and Pi Phi.
Finally, thanks to, WalMart, Hy-Vee, and Jones' Food Center for allowing us to use their businesses for bell ringing.
