Dr. Russell Young, associate professor of opera and musical theater at Kennesaw State University, and Kathleen Miller, a professional performer and native of Madison, will both conduct master classes and private voice lessons with musical theatre and voice students in the College of Fine Arts throughout the week.
Master classes that are open to the public include one by Dr. Young, Feb. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall, and one by Ms. Miller, Feb. 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Arena Theatre.

Dr. Young is an active vocal coach, accompanist and conductor who is comfortable in all styles of vocal and musical theatre repertoire. He received his master's of music in piano performance from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, and his doctorate of music arts in accompanying and chamber music from the University of Miami.
Kathleen Miller graduated from Southern Methodist University and has performed extensively in both opera and musical theatre.
