YMCA is organizing basketball tournament

The Maple Street YMCA is organizing the 2007 Omaha Invitational Basketball Tournament. We are expecting 225 teams from five states. The event will run on Friday, March 2, through Sunday, March 4.

Games on Friday will be played in the evening and games will be scheduled all day Saturday and Sunday. Teams scheduled to play on Friday night will most likely be teams from the Omaha area unless otherwise requested.

The cost of the event is $130. The head and assistant coach will receive a t-shirt as a free coaches gift.

The tournament will be held at Kiewit Fitness Center on the campus of Creighton University, Omaha YMCAs and other locations as needed. Basketball teams, grades fourth through high school boys and fourth through eighth grade girls, will be participating in recreational and competitive divisions.
