Get Art Smart!

Drawing, ceramics and crochet/knitting classes start this week at the Washington Street Arts Center – healing arts classes are being offered as well. The paid sessions of "Music & Me," a preschool music class, start next week. For class times, cost and instructor contact information go to www.vaac.org and click on the "Classes" link.

The USD Opera Workshop will be performing a comic opera in one act on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. in Colton Recital hall.

The VAAC continues its USD student art series with "The Energy Body" – paintings by Laurie Johns – on Friday, March 23 with yoga at 7:30 p.m. and a public reception at 8:30 p.m.

USD's Diversity event featuring food and music from all over the world will be happening on Saturday, March 24 at the high school commons – doors open at 5:30 p.m. and food will be served at 6:30 p.m.

The annual USD Area High School Art Exhibition is on display in the Main Gallery of the Warren M. Lee Fine Arts Center with a reception on Sunday, March 25 from 3 to 5 p.m.

And the VAAC board of directors will meet on Monday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Washington Street Arts Center.
