Grease to be performed March 23-25
The familiar tunes Greased Lightning, We Go Together and Summer Nights can be heard in the school music room and on the gym stage as area young people rehearse scenes, songs and dances from the musical Grease (school version).

The Centerville Community Arts Council will present the popular musical at 7:30 p.m. March 23 and 24, and at 2 p.m. on March 25 at the Centerville School Gold Gym, Centerville. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and may be purchased at the door.

A dinner theatre performance will be held on Saturday, March 24. Dinner consisting of hot roast beef sandwich platter and dessert will be served at 6 p.m. with the play to follow. Tickets for the dinner are $15 and must be purchased by March 21. Tickets are on sale at First Midwest Bank and the Centerville Library (563-2540).


Cast members include: Danny – Tyler Cunningham; Sandy – Britt Foley; Rizzo – Jenna Rist; Marty – Becky Beringer; Frenchy – Kaylie Turcotte; Jan – Courtney Buechler; Kenickie – Justin Knutson; Doody – Greg Ostrem; Roger – Justin Schoepf; Sonny – David Olson; Eugene – Josh Rahn; Cha-Cha – Callie DeBondt; Teen Angel – Stephan Comp; Patty – Stephanie Carnes; Vince Fontaine – Kory Muller; Miss Lynch – Heather Tobin; Johnny Casino – John Limoges; Cheerleaders: Amanda Anderson, Jenny Johnson, Trista Kaltenbach, Lisa Thvedt; Rydell High Students: Amanda Nelson; Shelbi Kribell, Lindsay Ostrem. Cory Cunningham, Evan Hanson, Matt Horn, Christian Krohg and Jeremy Nelson.

Colleen O'Malley, director and Vonni Knutson, choreographer are creating a production sure to please the audience. Pit band members are Sue Johnson (piano), Pat Anderson (bass), Chris Rahn and Tyler Limoges (percussion).

Grease (school version) is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Centerville Rotary is providing a special assistance for this performance.
