Local Lions will bring Branson to Vermillion
The Vermillion Lions Club will bring Branson to Siouxland, featuring "The Braschler Music Show" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, at the Vermillion High School Performing Arts Center.

Tickets for the show and all-you-can-eat soup supper are $27.50; tickets for the show alone are $20.

The event is a fund raiser for the Lions' Sight First II Campaign. Sight First II is a project of Lions Clubs International which seeks to prevent blindness worldwide.

The show will also help the Vermillion High School Show Choir members and its parent group raise funds to help finance future activities.

The students and parents will help prepare and serve the soup supper, and provide clean up. They will receive one half of the evening's proceeds, the other half will be designated to the Lions' Sight First II. The Braschler Music Show delivers a variety of music styles, classic country, contemporary country, gospel, bluegrass and sentimental favorites, they even have some lighthearted comedy.

The Braschlers started performing in Branson in 1983 when there was only 10 music shows in town. They have shared the stage with such well-known country personalities as Minny Pearl. The Los Angeles Times has reported that The Braschler Music Show is "clearly designed to entertain rather then impress; the show's gentle sincerity works."
