Matt Hoyt, physical therapist, was selected as the Sanford Vermillion Medical Center (SVMC) February 2007 PRIDE Employee of the Month.

Hoyt has been employed at Sanford Vermillion Medical Center since August 2002.

"Matt is a great help to all in the Physical Therapy Department. His patients all really like him and he does a great job. Matt is not only technically an excellent therapist; he has a number of special characteristics that make him an overall excellent physical therapist.

"He has a very strong work ethic and is willing to go far beyond his usual work day whenever we ask him to. His patients respond to him in a positive manner and develop a personal appreciation for his thoroughness and individual attention. In addition to his work at the hospital, he also volunteers his expertise and talents to The University of South Dakota cross country and track teams. He is respected and well liked throughout the whole facility."

These comments were shared in nominations for Hoyt.

"Matt's background as a cross country runner brings a unique perspective to our Physical Therapy Department," said Bob Brockevelt, rehabilitation services manager, Sanford Vermillion Medical Center.

Matt is a graduate of The University of South Dakota with a degree in Physical Therapy. Hoyt is a native of Burlington, WY.
