Used book sale to be held at Vermillion Public Library
The Vermillion Public Library used book sale will be held Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 1. The sale is open during regular library hours Friday, March 30, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, March 31, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 1-5 p.m.

Hardcover and paperback books, magazines and other materials retired from the library's collection and donated to the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library are specially priced for the sale. Items sell for three-for-a-$1, .50 or .75 cents each and customers can fill a grocery bag or copier paper box for $5.00 with items of their choice.

"We have a huge selection of books for this sale. Our storage area is full. We have a good selection of children's books again and many general fiction and non-fiction books new to the sale," according to Librarian Jane Larson.

The used book sale is the biggest event sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library. The sale supports programs like the Summer Reading Program, the ESA Giving Tree, the annual Literary Luncheon and special equipment purchases.

The Friends will be joined by Wal-Mart associates volunteering at the sale.

For more information, call the library at 677-7060 or e-mail vpl@sdln.net. Volunteers are needed to help run the sale, to set up Wednesday and Thursday before the sale and to break down the sale after 3 p.m. Sunday.
