Vermillion public schools will host developmental night host

The Vermillion School District is hosting an "academic and developmental wellness clinic" for all 3- and 4-year- old children residing in the Vermillion School District. The Head Start Program and Vermillion public schools have combined efforts to locate and screen all 3- and 4-year-olds in Vermillion. The "Community Screening for Academic and Developmental Readiness" will be held on March 26 and 27 at the Vermillion Middle School.

This is an opportunity for parents to gain insight into where their child is at developmentally as well as visit with several community agencies that will be present. The community agencies that will be in attendance to disseminate information about their program and answer parents' questions are: Trinity Pre-School, St. Agnes Pre-School, Kids of Character Pre-School, USD Center for Children and Families, Sanford Health and Sanford Health Clinic, Department of Social Services, County Health Nurse (WIC), Vermillion Public Library, USD Speech and Hearing, USD Dental Hygiene, Clay County Extension Office, United Way, Vermillion P.T.A., and Knutson Dental.
