A young woman dancer, dressed in pure white, participates in the 35th annual USD Wacipi (pow-wow), held Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, in the Vermillion High School gymnasium. The theme of the Wacipi was "Honoring Mother Earth." Grand entry dances were held at 1 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. A special dance was also held Sunday afternoon in honor of the contributions of William O. "Doc" Farber to USD, Vermillion and South Dakota.
