Kiss-the-pig contest to be held

A kiss-the-pig contest to raise money for the 2007 Relay for Life is being held in Vermillion.

Vote for the community leader that you would like to see kiss the pig by depositing a minimum of 50 cents per vote in the jar of your choice. Vote early and vote often.

Participants are Mayor Dan Christopherson, City Manager John Prescott; Sanford Health Center Chief of Staff Dr. Roy Mortinsen; Vermillion Police Chief Art Mabry; Timothy J. Tracy, CEO Sanford Vermillion; Rev. Steve Miller; USD President James Abbott; Vermillion School Superintendent Mark Froke; Clay County Sheriff Andy Howe; Farron Pratt, president, First Dakota National Bank; Bob Bowker, principal of Jolley School; Dan Kenton, United Way of Vermillion Board; and Lisa Ketcham of the Vermillion Chamber of Commerce & Development Company.

A jar for all participants also available at Sanford Vermillion main lobby, 20 S. Plum St. Community jars will be collected at noon and at 5 p.m. at the main lobby at Sanford Vermillion on April 11.
