The South Dakota men's distance medley relay finished second in the distance medley relay at the Kansas Relays on Friday in Law-rence, KS.
The distance medley relay clocked a time of 10:11.49 with a squad of Josh Jeffery of Spearfish; Tyler Wil-liamson of Estelline; Scott Hargens of Sioux Falls; and Tyler Wetering of Sioux Falls.
Highlighting the women's performance was the 4×400-meter relay which qualified for the finals on Saturday with a clocking of 3:53.81. The USD team included Allie Smith of Wahpeton, ND; Heidi Muellenberg of Redfield; Rosalie Brueske of Woonsocket; and Kiki Smith of Wahpeton, ND.
USD's Terry Liggins of Omaha, NE., was 13th in the men's 400 intermediate hurdles with a clocking of 54.06. Ben Oberle of Vermillion, had a 49.45 in the men's 400-meter dash but did not advance to the finals. Also Dominic Artis of Brooklyn Park, MN, ran a 10.88 in the men's 100-meter dash but also did not qualify for the finals.
