VHS track teams continue dominance at Lennox
On Friday, April 20, due to previous weather conditions, the Tanager track and field teams faced a field of six teams in the Lennox Booster Club Qualifier. No team points were posted. Key: SQ-New or better State qualifier; SR-School record; MR- Meet record.

Individual Tanager results in field events were: Annie Roche, 3rd; Kayla Gale, 5th in high jump. Alicia Brown won the long jump(17' 4") SR, SQ.

The 100M dash was won by Alicia Brown (12.3 sc) MR, SR, SQ. In the 200M Dash, Hannah Nehlich-Arobba, and Sophie Nehlich-Arobba, finished 5th, 6th in that order. Lydia Ford placed 3rd in the 3200M run.

The 4X100M relay team (Karissa Martin, Hannah Korcuska, Kayla Munger, and Sophie Nehlich-Arobba) placed 5th. The four of Sarah Day, Alexa Walker, Roche, and Brown won the 4x200M in 1:49.5 (S Q). The 4x400M was won in 4:05.5 by the same foursome (Day, Walker, Roche, and Brown) for another SQ. The 4x800M relay team consisting of (Emily Renner, Jana Bye, Brandi Blue Arm, and Ford) placed 4th. The sprint medley had the Vermillion team coming in 5th (Korkuska, Martin,

Anna Moos, & Renner).

The Tanager boys had state qualifiying results in two relay teams.

In the field events: Bobby Dykstra placed with a 8'2'' high jump. Other field event placer was Hunter Wyatt (5th in the shot put).

In the 100M dash, Roland Osao-Oppango placed 2nd. In the 400M dash, Dalton Brandt was 6th. AJ Manning placed 3rd in the 800M, Manning also placed 2nd in the 1600M run. Jeff Donnelly placed 3rd in the 110M hurdles; and in the 300 M hurdles.

The 4x100M relay team finished 5th (Ryan Kost, Brad Orr, Justin Moos, and Preston Ellenbolt). The 4x200M relay team (Dalton Brandt, Jerrod Freidel, Dan Storm, and Greg Anderson) placed 3rd. 4x400M relay team (Freidel, Gauer, Oberle and Powell) placed 1st (3:33.3) – SQ.

The sprint medley relay team claimed first place (Freidel, Storm, Powell, and Gauer) with a time of 3:44.4 (SQ).
