Yarbrough's work will be performed

Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents Musical Fantasies Spring Concert, Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on the campus of Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA.

Featured performer will be Dordt College Keyboard Professor Robert Horton who will play the premiere performance Fantasy for Organ and Orchestra. University of South Dakota Composer in Residence Dr. Stephen Yarbrough composed this commissioned composition. Fantasy for Organ and Orchestra is an exciting, wonderful new lyrical piece sure to become a favorite for performers and audience alike.

Also featured on the program are Death and Transfiguration by Richard Strauss; Fanfare from Also Sprach Zarathustra, better known as the "Fanfare from 2001, A Space Odyssey," and Brahms Symphony No. 1.

Tickets are $30 for family, $12 for adults and $5 for students.
