Achieving INCASE accreditation shows that the Department of ADAS is committed to the establishment, promotion and evaluation of standards of excellence in addiction education. By establishing rigorous standards for the addiction profession, the Department of ADAS is a leader in the preparation of competent substance abuse professionals.

Founded in 1990, INCASE is an association of professionals, programs and students specializing in addiction studies, counselor preparation, prevention, treatment, research and public policy. INCASE provides a global forum for the examination and debate of issues concerning post secondary education in addiction studies, enhances the quality of education in science-based addiction studies, disseminates professional knowledge and shares ideas regarding addiction studies and research in the field of addiction studies.
In addition, through the implementation of accreditation, INCASE determines the highest standards and curriculum for post secondary addiction studies programs through the assessment of those programs.
