"I am honored to receive this award. It really shows how much respect my coworkers have for me," said Marshall.
Marshall was nominated for Employee of the Month by many of her colleagues, including Pam Jurgensen, senior secretary of the Department of Psychology, and Randal Quevillon, Ph.D., Marshall's supervisor and chair of the department.

"Carla is a professional and is always cheerful, courteous and very helpful. You can count on her to get the job done correctly, and she is willing to offer a helping hand when needed," said Jurgensen.
Marshall recently worked on updating and coordinating the finances throughout the sub-units of the Department of Psychology. "In addition to Carla's consistent excellence and her continued striving to improve herself and the department, she has recently gone the extra mile yet again. Her efforts were hugely appreciated by our staff, administrative crew and everyone involved. This was just the latest example of Carla's wonderful management, terrific teamwork and outstanding dedication. I just can't tell you what a privilege it is to be her supervisor and colleague," said Quevillon.
When asked about what she likes best about her job, Marshall said, "I really enjoy the great people I work with in the psychology department."
Marshall lives in Irene with her husband, Heath, and their seven-month-old daughter. In her spare time, Marshall enjoys scrap booking and spending time with her family.
