"Bringing Sergeant Corey Briest Home" is a campaign organized by the community of Yankton in an effort to raise money to build a complete handicap-accessible home for the Briest family.
Briest, an American soldier injured in Iraq in December 2005 while stationed with Yankton's 147th "C" Battery, has been undergoing extensive rehabilitation in California for the past year and will soon be coming home.
Performing the concert is Codie Kuper, a native of Lennox, who has delighted music audiences all across the country, including Johnny High's Country Revue in Texas. Codie currently attends SDSU and is a Sioux Falls Skyforce cheerleader. She is donating her time and talent to this very worthy cause. All concert proceeds will go to the "Bringing Sergeant Corey Briest Home" fund.
General admission tickets are $5, and may be purchased at the following Yankton locations: Hy-Vee, Slumberland, Yankton Rexall, Shur-Co., KVHT, KKYA-KYNT, WNAX and the National Guard Armory.
