The University of South Dakota softball team lost all three games in the final day of play at the Northwest Classic, falling to Fort Hays State 17-4 (in five innings), Northwest Missouri State 3-2 and Truman State 6-3. The Coyotes now stand at 14-29 on the year with the losses.

Fort Hays State jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the top of the first, defeating USD 17-4 in the first game after five-innings. The highlights for the Coyotes came on home runs by Abby Poulter, Colfax, IA, and Katie Bloomfield, Wakefield, NE.
