Girls' golf places second at Harrisburg

The Tanager girls' golf team placed second at the Harrisburg Invitational tournament Tuesday, May 8, played at Spring Creek in Harrisburg.

The WCHS girls placed first with a 364 score; Vermillion had 383 in the 12 team meet.

Capturing medalist honors was the Trojan's Cara Liesinger with a 81; Kayla McInerny (EP/J) was second with 62. Vermillion's Anna Isaacson was sixth at 85. Other Tanager scoring results in the top 20 were: Chelsea Gauer (92) and Kelsey Osborne (100); also contributing to the VHS second place were Rachel Odens and Kristen Schwasinger.

The JV 9-hole tournament was won by Vermillion's Kenzie Huska who was medalist with a score of 50.
