Tanager boys' tennis ends season
The Tanager boys' tennis team was entered in the state tournament held in Sioux Falls last Thursday through Saturday, May 17-19.

The following is a recap of all flights for Vermillion:

Singles: Flight # 1 – Dusan Cuetkuvic def. Alex Lauseng (Pierre) 10-2. Second round – def. L. Lynass (Sturgis) 10-6. Third round – lost to R. Rasmussen (Aberdeen) 10-1.


Flight #2 – Dominick Jones def. Jordan Foster (Huron). Second round – lost to W. Wheeldryer 10-1.

Flight #3 – Jordan Robinson def. Sam Butterfield (Mitchell). Second round – lost to T. Tan (Springfield) 11-9.

Flight #4 – Jimmy Lai def. Shea Patrick (Mitchell). Second round – lost to Bennett Prosser (Sturgis) 10-1.

Flight #5 – Tyler Kielman def. Adam VanderSluis (Burbank) Second round – lost to F. Flanery (St. Mary) 10-5.

Flight #6 – AJ Walker def. Kyle Rohrbach (St. Mary) 10-7. Second round – lost to H. Holkesvik 10-2.

Doubles: Flight #1 – Cuethovic/Jones def. Meyers/Tan (Springfield). Second round – lost to Yankton.

Flight #2 – Robinson/Lai def. Soper/Buse (Brandon Valley). Second round – lost to Sioux Falls Lincoln.

Flight #3 – Kielman /Walker def. Isrealson/Kocer (Sturgis). Second round – lost to Aberdeen Central.

"I was very happy and proud of our guy's effort and hard work in the tournament, and through out this year," said coach Jon Reuvers.
