On Thursday, April 6, the 2007 men's league met and elected officers for the upcoming season at The Bluffs. Co-presidents are Kurt Kuiper and Wade Hansen, who appointed Rusty Jensen as treasurer.
A minimum of team representatives being present, Ex-president "Chappy" suggested that the new officers appoint a committee to organize and clarify the suggestions later.
It was decided that the league would have up to 13 play dates for the regular season depending on the numbers of teams participating. Stag nights will occur about once a month and include free food for league members only.
Activities near the end of the season will be decided later, but will include a final tournament involving every team in the league.
If you intend to have a team this year, please let the pro shop staff or league officers know soon. Team captains – please get the team roster to Rusty ASAP.
League commences with a team scramble involving every team on May 11, tee times to be arranged with the staff. Regular competition will start on May 18 with 3 and 6 p.m. shotgun tee offs.

W.E.L.L golfers putt a round
The Wednesday Evening Ladies League kicked off its season April 25 with a fun night. Well, we tried to kick off the season but the weather was less than cooperative. However, it was a fun night.
With contributions from several women a nine-hole mini-golf putt putt course was created in the west half of the clubhouse. Holes ranged from putting through boxes, up ramps, around corners to throwing darts at a course hanging on the wall.
Eight women played the course in pairs, keeping score as they went. In addition to those obstacles place by the course designers, there were natural (sort of) hazards in the form of chairs and tables. When all was said and done Julia Chaney had the lowest number of putts (at least on her score card) with a 12 while her putting partner, Joanne Ustad, had the most (33). Each received a prize.
Coming in a close second for low score was Nace Huska with 15 strokes. However, Nace came away a winner, tripling her investment in the video lottery machines.
Afterwards the players socialized before heading out. From that social time comes the following suggestion: Ask Susan Oberle what it means to her to be uptight.
