Elizabeth Bye and Sami Girard shared pitching duties and Blaze won 16-8. Lexi Regenerus and Shelby Christopherson each scored three times each with singles. Beth Syzmonski scored three times with a home run.
Game 2 – Blaze vs. Brandon Scream

Blaze wins 18-2, Bye was the winning pitcher striking out 14 of the 19 batters. Courtney Johnson was 3 for 4, Blair Gilkyson was 3 for 3, Girard hit 2 out of 4, Regenerus hit 2 out of 3 with a home run, Rasmussen hit 2 singles and Rory Tucker also registered a single.
Game 3 – Blaze vs. Metro All-Stars from Sioux City
This was a pitching battle. The game after going extra innings ended in a tie 1-1. Bye was the pitcher for the game striking out 9. The Blaze had two hits, Syzmonski hit a double and Regenerus hit a singe which scored Syzmonski for the Blaze 1 run.
Game 4 – Blaze vs. Jack Pinny from Sioux City
Blaze loses 12-1 but were the only ones to score on Jack Pinny, the eventual champions. Girard hit a single, Symonski walked and Regenerus hit a single to score Girard. Rasmussen was the only other Blaze to get a hit in the game. Bye was the losing pitcher with 3 strike-outs.
Game 5 – Blaze vs. Sioux Falls Explosion
Blaze wins 11-9 for third place. Bye was the winning pitcher for the Blaze. Johnson scored 3 runs on 2 hits, Girard scored 2 runs on 2 singles, Syzmonski had 2 hits one being a home run. Bye had a single and a triple to drive in the winning runs. Christopherson, Mariah Larson, Rassmussen and Tucker all had singles.
"I am very proud of the girls. They had a wonderful first tournament and we all learned a lot," said coach Shelly Bye.
