Get A Clue Summer Reading Program

On Monday, June 18 at 1 p.m. Markie Scholz from the Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppet Theatre will be performing "A Dragon Mystery: Legend of Istaban's Gold" with a cast of puppet friends.

Get A Clue and show your creativity with mystery crafts. Join the fun when the summer reading program features craft activities on Tuesday afternoons at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the library. The Junior Detective Reading Club will meet on Wednesday afternoons at 3 p.m. On Thursday, June 28 at 3 p.m. join the Super Sleuths Reading Club for their twice-a-month meeting.

DearReader.com Book Club

The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book runs for five days, Monday through Friday. Some genres offer selections every other week. Discover New Trails @ Your Library

Join the word fanatics on Saturday, June 16 from 1 to 4:00 p.m. for Words Games. If you enjoy playing Balderdash, Password, Scrabble, Scattergories, or Word Yahztee or want to learn a new game, this is the afternoon for you! This program is for adults or young adults ages 12-18. Extra games and dictionaries are welcome.

Are you have registered for Story Time activities? Preschool children meet on Mondays at 7 p.m., Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Toddler Story Times are scheduled on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. All sessions run for half an hour time periods. Registration is required for participation.

The Vermillion Public Library staff and patrons would like to thank Bill for planting flowers around the library building. He will also be sharing his time to care for our gardens all through the summer.

During the summer the library will be open on Monday through Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays through Labor Day.
