Get a Clue Summer Reading Program

Join the Vermillion Public Library for the summer fun. On Monday, June 11 at 1 p.m. Vermillion Police Detective Crystal Brady will present a program for junior crime solvers on fingerprinting and solving crimes. This presentation will be in the Community Room of the library.

On Monday, June 18 at 1 p.m. Markie Scholz from the Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppet Theatre will be performing A Dragon Mystery: Legend of Istaban's Gold with a cast of puppet friends.


Tuesday afternoons at 2 p.m. will feature craft activities. The Junior Detective Reading Club will meet on Wednesday afternoons at 3 p.m. On Thursday, June 14 at 3 p.m. join the Super Sleuths Reading Club for their twice-a-month meeting.

Upcoming Calendar Events

Join the word fanatics on Saturday, June 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. for Words Games. If you enjoy playing Balderdash, Password, Scrabble, Scattergories, or Word Yahztee or want to learn a new game, this is the afternoon for you! This program is for adults or young adults ages 12 to 18. Extra games and dictionaries are welcome.

Are you have registered for Story Time activities? Preschool children meet on Mondays at 7 p.m., Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Toddler Story Times are scheduled on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. All sessions run for half an hour. Registration is required for participation.

During the summer, the library will be open Monday through Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays until Labor Day.
