City council meets July 2

The Vermillion City Council holds its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 2, in the Al Neuharth Media Center on The University of South Dakota campus.

Items on the meeting agenda include a final report on Tour de Kota from Jim Hockett, and a public hearing on a resolution declaring an intent to expand the boundaries of the city.

Under old business, aldermen will consider the on-off malt beverage license renewal for The Pressbox at 9 West National Street.

New business includes action on a request by the Tri-State Cruisers to close portions of Main Street. The council will also consider a resolution authorizing an application for funding from the Industrial Park Access Grant program.
