"If you know of a success story in your community, we want to hear from you," said Sherry McGill, education director for Iowa State University Extension-Woodbury County. "In the event your story is selected, you will be provided with an all expense paid trip to South Sioux City, NE, and have the opportunity to inspire others by telling your success story at the eighth annual Midstates Community and Economic Development Conference." The 2008 conference will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at the Marina Inn.�
Participating communities will enhance this one-day program which incorporates successful strategies and innovative ideas to advance community and rural development in the tri-state area. The 2008 conference theme will be "Cultivating the Passion" and will focus on such topics as creative financing, innovative youth involvement, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
