On June 5, which was a most spectacular day, our largest attendance of 33 players came for the fun league participation.

The scores turned in were also quite good. The winning team was Harlan Schott, Jim Reed and Dick Burbach with a 36. Second place went to Alan Clem, Vern Holter and Don Imming at 38. Taking third with a 39 were Shorty Hanson, Quentin Oleson and Tim O'Connor. Then the next four teams each tied at 40.
In order to be fair to all teams at that score, prize balls were given to all players with a score of 40. Listed at fourth was Elmer Mount, Berwyn Svoboda and Dave Zimmer. Placing in fifth place was Bob Solomon, Jim Stewart and Jim Grabowski. Recorded in sixth place Turk Pilker, Dick Kellogg and Guy Button. Finally included at seventh place were Mo Marcotte, Louie Fostvedt and Joe Conroy.
The putter of Louie Fostvedt was really hot this day. Louie made a 30-foot put on #11 and on the very next hole he made a 25 footer. Dave Zimmer also claimed a 24- foot birdie put on #12.
The senior fun league still plays on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. despite the schedule we used this past week to avoid a senior tournament at The Bluffs Course.
Wednesday morning ladies enjoy games
We had 29 ladies for luncheon … great group of ladies!
Desserts were provided by Gayle Bliss and Lynette Spencer again great treats!!
Our $5 drawing was won by Ann Stewart (remember you need to be present to win).
Quarters were won by Ellie Davis, Edith Nelson, Barb Larson, Babe Hurowitz, Barb Boone and Glennis Stewart. Dominoes There were two tables with 11 total playing. High was Mary Lea Hennies with 470 and low was Janet Hoff with 232. Great group of players.
Bridge Today there was one table with four players. High was Marlys Jensen. Hope we can get more ladies to come to luncheon and stay for bridge they always have fun also.
Golf Well, today was the windiest day this year, but there were five golfers willing to take on the wind.
We played low score on par 4s and the winner would get a quarter from each of the other players. Our winner today was Edith Nelson with 32. Everyone was following close behind her.
We discussed what to use some of our membership money for. Mary Lea (treasurer) is checking on some things with the golf course. More discussion will be next week on the 13th.
Hope to see you all at The Bluffs on Wednesday morning. Golf tee off is 9 a.m. with luncheon around noon and bridge, dominoes and cards after. Come join us at The Bluffs!
