National Night Out is set Aug. 7

Don't forget to attend Vermillion's National Night Out in Prentis Park (northwest corner) from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

This will be a fun family event with games, prizes and rides for the kids, along with the always popular "celebrity dunk tank."

Music will be by Open Mike's and Hy-Vee will have a food booth.

This is a great way for family, friends and neighbors to get acquainted with local law enforcement and form a crime-fighting bond.
