Six members of the South Dakota women's track and field squad were named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II All-Academic track and field team.
The USD honorees include Allison Smith, sophomore, Wahpeton, ND; Amy Lindner, senior, Sioux Falls; Heidi Muellenberg, senior, Redfield; Mara McGill, senior, Beresford; Rosalie Brueske, freshman, Woonsocket; and Shaneaka Parkes, Brown's Town Minard Hall, St. Ann, Jamaica.
A total of 180 student-athletes represented by 57 Division II colleges and universities comprised the 2007 All-Academic team. The USTFCCCA honors Division II individuals for their academic and athletic achievements during the indoor and outdoor track season. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic track and field team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and obtain an NCAA qualifying mark in their respective event.
