Terry S. Smith, others to perform at Elk Point Jefferson School July 21

Enjoy a day of country, gospel, and variety music Saturday, July 21 at the Elk Point Jefferson School Atrium, 402 S. Douglas, from 1-9 p.m.

Featured artist will be nationally renowned Nashville singer/songwriter Terry S. Smith, who is famous for Johnny Cash's recording of Far Side Banks of Jordan. He wass also the National Traditional Country Music Association Songwriter of the Year in 1995 and 1996. Smith has had his songs recorded by June Carter Cash, Kitty Wells, Oak Ridge Boys, Statler Brothers, Roy Acoff, Chris Ledoux, and Allison Krause, to name a few. He is a very sought-after entertainer by the traditional country music festivals held throughout the nation and New Zealand. His Web site is www.terrysmith.us.

The Scandinavian Dancers will make an appearance along with local talent Ron McKay, Walt Petersen, Richard Petersen, Bob Sweeney, Jacob Sample and Rich Rosenbaum. There will be an a circle jam for any musician/singer, as well as an afternoon bake sale and dinner for sale at suppertime.
