Seniors greet some guests

On July 3, 33 players were present. They entertained a couple of guests. David Helseth, son of Lloyd Helseth, was in town and played in the fun league with his father. Elmer Mount brought a guest from Arizona. His guest was Howard Brandt, who also played on Elmer's team.

The scores for this session were very close. There were four 37s for best score.

The top ranked 37 went to the team of Ross King, Lloyd Helseth and David Helseth. Second ranking was the team of Alan Clem, Jim Stewart and Gene Iverson.

Listed at third were Shorty Hanson, Turk Pilker and Berwyn Svoboda. The final 37 assigned fourth place claim by Jerry Johnson, Jim Grabowski and Mo Marcotte.

Coming in fifth with a lone 38 were Bob Solomon, Dick Kellogg and Van Pierce. And still winning a ball with a 39 for sixth position were Vern Holter, Don Imming and Tim O'Connor.

In this session only five birdies were made. Of those fives, three were considered worthy of notice. A super long birdie putt of 57 feet was dropped by Jim Grabowski at #11, Alan Clem made a 27-footer on #12, while "Shorty" Hanson sank a 19-footer on #14.
