Blaze go undefeated in Sioux Falls league

The Vermillion Blaze ended their league play with two wins. The first game played was against the Sioux Falls Explosion with a 2-0 victory. Elizabeth Bye was the winning pitcher striking out nine batters and allowing only two hits. Lizzy helped her team offensively as well as with a double in the first inning.

Lexi Regnerus had her bat on fire registering a single and a triple to help the cause. Other Blaze to get hits were Blair Gilkyson with a single and Shelby Christopherson with a double.

The last game of league play was against the Brandon Crush and the Blaze dominated, winning by a 15-0 score. Lizzy Bye was the winning pitcher. It was a team effort. Each player on the Blaze got a hit.

"It was a great way to end league play," said coach Shelly Bye.

The Blaze league record ended up 9-0-1.
