City council meets Aug. 6

The Vermillion City Council holds its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. t, in the Al Neuharth Media Center on The University of South Dakota campus.

Items on the meeting agenda include a public hearing on a resolution of necessity for construction of North Crawford Road from Highway 50 to 317th Street.

Under new business, aldermen will take action on a transfer of property to the city of Elk Point, a request to close a portion of Clark Street for a "Farber House" open house celebration, a Masaba development agreement, and the presentation of the 2008 proposed budget.
