Hospital Auxiliary meets Sept. 7

The Hospital Auxiliary Organization will be meeting again Sept. 7 in the dining room of the care center. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. There will be the election of new officers for the 2007-2008 year. Guests and new members are welcome.

We would like to invite any of you who are interested in working together with us to help keep our hospital and care center a place of caring and compassion to come. We meet the first Friday of every month. We make caps, burp clothes, and blankets for the newborns.

We make neck pillows and lap blankets for our elderly residents. We volunteer our time on a "on-call" basis for the hospital when someone is needed to assist in sitting with patients, rocking crying babies, keeping children occupied when there are emergencies being attended to by the adults in the family.

We also are starting a new program which involves the residents. The second Saturday of each month we sponsor bingo. Every other month we will have programs for the residents.

If you are interested in this worthy cause, please feel free to call the care center at 624-2611, any member, or just come. You will be welcome. We always end our time with coffee, cookies and visiting.
