Teeners see action
The Vermillion 15-16 Teeners completed a busy two weeks of the regular season with a convincing sweep over the Brookings Bullets on Sunday in Brookings. It was the 18th and 19th games Vermillion had played in 14 days.

Vermillion won the opening game by a score of 13-0 after four innings. Vermillion wasted little time in the nightcap as they took a 17-2 win in four innings.

Scores from other games played: Vermillion won three of four games with Parkston by the scores of 10-8, 10-5, and 8-5 while their loss came by a 4-3 score.

Vermillion traveled to Mitchell, losing both games by 3-0 scores. Vermillion split with EPJ, winning 7-6 and losing 5-4. Vermillion fell to Beresford 11-6. Vermillion defeated Missouri Valley 16-0 while the second game was called after three innings due to weather. Vermillion swept Wagner at Wagner by the scores of 19-6 and 6-3.

Vermillion participated in the Mid Summer Shootout in Sioux Falls. Vermillion was defeated by Sioux Falls West 6-4, Brandon Valley 14-2, and dropped a 5-4 decision to undefeated Aberdeen, who advanced to the championship game.

Vermillion defeated Sturgis 8-0 in five innings in their final game of the tournament. Vermillion's record improves to 23-10. Vermillion traveled to Lennox for a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 24 and hosted Sioux Falls Central on Thursday, July 26.

The Teeners will host Beresford Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. and will conclude the regular season with Sioux Falls West at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Prentis Park.
