The Bluffs hosts city junior golfers in annual tournament

The Bluffs in Vermillion was the host for the annual City Junior tournament, held on Friday, July 27. Sixty-seven boy and girl golfers were flighted by age.

Top three winners in each age group were

Boys 7-8 years: 1st – Gabe DeJong, 2nd – Nathan Brady and 3rd – Carter Kratz.

Boys 9-10 years: 1st – Brett Hansen, 2nd – Nicholas Anderson and 3rd – Matthew Wasley.

Boys 11-12 years: 1st – Jake Hogan, 2nd – Peter Haught and 3rd – Carter Andre.

Girls 7-8 years: 1st – Taylor Kayl, 2nd – Kyleigh Chandler and 3rd – Madison Regnerus.

Girls 9-10 years: 1st – Kylie Kuiper, 2nd – Jessica Brady and 3rd – Bailey Dell.

Girls 11-12 years: 1st – Elly Miiller, 2nd – Megan Olson and 3rd – Rory Tucker.

After the competition, refreshments were furnished by Vermillion Hy-Vee and The Bluffs. Awards for the place winners were gift certificates courtesy of The Bluffs.
